In this exciting 3-week program, designed for young eco-enthusiasts aged 10 to 11, children will dive into the fascinating world of plants, sustainability, and technology. Through hands-on experiments, creative building projects, and thought-provoking discussions, they will explore the science behind hydroponics, greenhouses, and smart farming.

Three Themed Weekly Sessions (2.5 Hours Each)
Mission-Based Learning: Each session is a hands-on, mission-based experience that includes 1 hour of theory followed by 1.5 hours of practical activities.
All Materials Provided: No need to bring anything! We supply all the necessary materials including hydroponic systems, small plants, soil, water, clear containers, plastic wraps, and craft supplies.
Take-Home Projects: Kids leave with their own hydroponic plant setup, mini greenhouse model, and Garden Journal to continue their learning at home.

Core Concepts Taught
Plant Nutrition & Hydroponics:
NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium) and trace nutrients for plant growth.
How hydroponics can help save water and grow plants without soil.
Greenhouse Science:
Why greenhouses help control plant growth through temperature, humidity, and air flow.
The role of greenhouses in food security, especially in desert climates.
Smart vs. Traditional Farming:
What makes traditional farming different from smart farming (e.g., sensors, LED lights, and automation).
The importance of combining both methods for efficient food production.
2. How We Teach It
Project-Based Learning:
Kids actively build their hydroponic setups and mini greenhouses, reinforcing theoretical concepts with hands-on experience.
Interactive Science:
Experiments and real-world comparisons (e.g., hydroponic vs. soil-based plant growth).
Storytelling & Real-Life Examples:
Each theory session includes discussions and examples from the UAE’s smart farming initiatives, making the content more relevant.
Virtual Farm Tours:
If a real farm visit is not possible, kids will explore virtual tours of vertical farms and traditional farming operations.
3. Skills Developed
Skill | Activity Example | Real-World Benefit |
---|---|---|
Critical Thinking | Comparing growth between hydroponic and soil-based plants | Develops analytical thinking and hypothesis-making skills |
Problem Solving | Building the greenhouse and hydroponic setups | Encourages innovation and practical problem-solving |
Environmental Awareness | Learning about water conservation through hydroponics | Cultivates eco-conscious habits for future generations |
Collaboration | Group discussion on farming methods, and teamwork on greenhouse building | Enhances teamwork, communication, and decision-making abilities |

Tech Meets Nature: The program merges cutting-edge technology with environmental science to offer kids a unique learning experience.
Hands-On Learning: Children build their own sustainable farming setups, making the learning process both engaging and tangible.
Future-Focused: By exploring both traditional and smart farming methods, children gain insights into the future of food production and the importance of sustainable farming practices in desert and water-scarce regions.
Perfect for: Young innovators who love technology, nature, and sustainability, or any child interested in learning how science and technology can help the planet thrive! 🌱
